Mold Remediation
Why Mold Is a Problem You Shouldn’t Ignore
Mold often shows up after:
-
Leaks (roof, plumbing, windows, foundation)
-
Basement seepage or past flooding
-
High humidity or poor ventilation
Left alone, mold can:
-
Spread behind walls and into framing
-
Weaken drywall, trim, and other materials
-
Contribute to respiratory issues and allergies
-
Hurt property value and scare off buyers/tenants

Our Mold Remediation Process

1. Inspection & Assessment
-
Walk-through of affected areas (commonly basements, bathrooms, and around leaks)
-
Identify visible mold, water damage, and potential moisture sources
-
Discuss what’s needed, including any demo and repair
If you already have a mold test or report from an inspector, we can work off that too.
2. Demo & Removal of Affected Materials
Depending on conditions, this can include:
-
Removing mold-affected drywall, baseboard, and trim
-
Removing mold-affected framing or insulation that can’t be properly cleaned
-
Bagging and disposing of debris.
3. Cleaning & Treatment
After demo, we:
-
Vacuum and wipe down exposed surfaces
-
Apply a mold cleaning/killing product to affected areas
-
Address hard-to-reach zones where mold tends to hide (studs, sill plates, etc.)
4. Sealing / Priming
Once the area is clean and dry, we:
-
Apply an oil-based, mold-resistant primer to seal the treated surfaces
-
Prepare the area for reconstruction and finishing
This step helps lock in the surface and prepares it for new drywall or other finishes.
